Chapter 1
##Chapter 1
When the recording of me naked, making love with a male wolf, was publicly broadcast through crystal.
The entire werewolf world erupted.
It was filmed in the academy's sacred ground—the Moon Goddess Temple. The white robe symbolizing rebirth lay discarded on the ground.
I was trapped in the arms of a male werewolf tall enough to engulf my entire body.
Wolf shadows and human silhouettes intertwined under moonlight, heartbeats and gasps mixing with deep, bestial growls that echoed through the temple.
Finally, that majestic male wolf lowered his head and whispered in my ear— "Good girl."
Those two words, like a spell, traveled through the pack's spiritual bond and spread throughout the werewolf world.
"That voice... it can't be Harrison Hunter, can it?" "If she really got the mate mark from the Shadow Pack's heir, that would be incredible." "I always thought she was just a lowly half-blood. Turns out she's a seductive fox who climbs the ladder of power—like mother, like daughter."
At this moment, I was preparing a bracelet for Harrison, adorned with a moon stone that would glow on full moon nights.
My roommates deliberately maximized the projection crystal's image, suspending it in mid-air in the center of the room, laughing mockingly.
"Tsk tsk, Victoria, you moaned so lewdly in his arms, like a bitch in heat... How many times did you practice?"
My hand trembled, the bracelet fell to the floor, and I shot up, rushing out of the dormitory straight to the academy's Elder Council tower—I needed to ask Harrison what the hell was going on.
However, when I reached the council chamber door, the conversation inside made me freeze instantly.
"Harrison, you're really ruthless, filming her face so clearly and spreading rumors that her mother was a mistress. Now she doesn't even have a chance to deny it." "Serves her right. How dare a half-blood try to take Linda's place and dream of getting Harrison's mate mark?" "Yeah, when will you tell her the truth? Let her know you actually love her sister, that you despise this lowly half-blood—will she break down on the spot?"
The scent of pine drifted through the door crack. Through the shadows, I saw Harrison half-reclining in an elder's chair, casually playing with a moon coin between his fingers, his golden beast eyes unfathomably deep.
Someone mentioned Linda—my half-sister with pure bloodline, who was sent to the Northern Alliance for advanced training two years ago.
Harrison extinguished the moon coin and said flatly: "We'll tell her when Linda returns. Just in time for Linda's most anticipated moon festival. I'll make her pay back everything she owes Linda under the full moon."
My breath caught in my throat, my chest felt like it was being torn by claws. Linda was my half-sister, born after my father reconciled with his old flame following my mother's death.
But I never expected that now it would become my mother who was the mistress, and I was the mistress's child?! So those slanders about my mother were spread by him; His protection and tenderness were just patient stalking before the hunt; His true mate was Linda.
I felt my heart being squeezed, breathing becoming increasingly difficult.
I turned and ran down the tower, but in the shadows of the academy training ground, several female wolves blocked my path.
"Look who this is—the star of the mating video!" "What, fresh out of his arms and already looking for the next male wolf to warm you up?"
"Harrison was just playing with you. How about we introduce you to a few male wolves?"
My face pale, I was shoved around, my shoulder hitting the stone wall painfully.
Just then, a low, intimidating roar exploded from nearby, carrying enough power to make lower-ranking wolves instinctively bow— "Who dares touch her on my territory?"
Harrison had somehow left the council chamber, striding over with a predator's gait. The female wolves lowered their heads and retreated when his beast eyes swept over them, as if their throats had been seized.
He stood before me, reaching out to brush away the hair blown across my forehead by the wind, saying in a low voice: "I told you, if anyone bullies you again, just call my name."
That familiar scent of cedar and wild beast flooded my nostrils, stinging my eyes. Once, I thought this scent meant safety; Now, I only felt—this was the scent of a hunter.
Harrison led me to his car.
