As soon as I appeared, I saw Harrison. I hadn't expected to encounter him so quickly and immediately turned to leave.

But he grabbed me, pulling me to a corner.

He pressed me against the wall, his arm around my waist, his forehead pressed tightly against mine, causing his breath to blow across my cheek as he spoke.

"Why haven't you been coming to class or answering my messages? Today is our anniversary, and you haven't even mentioned it. Do you know how worried I've been?"

Looking at his anxious emotions, all I could think of were those heartless words he'd spoken.

I couldn't help but strike back: "It was just a one-night stand. What anniversary do we need to celebrate?"

His golden eyes instantly turned ice-cold: "You call our two years together a one-night stand?"

He seemed furious, leaning closer as if he was about to kiss my lips.

Just then, a voice interrupted him.

"Harrison, there you are? Linda's looking for you."

Harrison immediately released me and left without looking back.

I watched Harrison's friend who had called him, pretending confusion as I asked: "He knows my sister?"

"Of course, their relationship is more interesting than you think. Get ready, Victoria—you're in for quite a surprise." He smiled with a hint of mischief.

After they left, a cold smile appeared on my lips. Surprise?

Did they think I'd be shocked and heartbroken when Harrison suddenly announced his identity?

No, I had already pulled myself together. I would kick Harrison out of my life.

After the party began, I saw Harrison in a black tailcoat, escorting Linda in a white dress to center stage.

My father Jamie and stepmother took Linda's hand and announced publicly: "Thank you all for coming. Today is not only the day Linda returns, but I also have an announcement. My daughter Linda and Shadow Pack Alpha heir Harrison will hold their mating ceremony. They've been in love for years, and when the next full moon comes, they'll become mates. We hope everyone will witness their happiness."

Instantly, everyone's eyes fell on me, their faces filled with mockery.

Clearly, they were waiting for me to break down.

Including Harrison.

However, I looked at them with calm composure, even smiling slightly at Harrison.

As if I were just an observer.

I saw the anger on Harrison's face. Was he upset that I hadn't reacted as he expected?

But I only felt disgust. Everything I cherished, including my virginity, meant nothing to him.

The party continued. Linda brought Harrison over to greet me, and I said: "Hello, my brother-in-law."

Harrison's expression was quite a sight—he gritted his teeth but remained silent.

Linda enthusiastically grabbed my arm: "Sister, we haven't talked in so long. Let's chat privately."

Without waiting for my refusal, she led me to the powder room.

As soon as the door closed, Linda's sweet smile vanished. Her expression turned cold as she grabbed my hair and slammed my head violently against the table edge.

Sharp pain shot through me, blood immediately flowing down my forehead.

"Victoria, you bitch! How dare you sleep with Harrison? You lowly half-blood have no self-awareness!"

"He doesn't like you at all—he just used you as my substitute. The rumors about your mother being a homewrecking mistress? I had him spread those too."

"I played the victim in front of him, saying you bullied me. He believed it, so he approached you to get revenge."
